All timings will be confirmed on your formal invitations! We will share tide times on the day and alert guests if this may affect arrival to the venue.
Our dress code is semi-formal/formal wear - think long dresses and suits - no jeans please! Feel free to use the below colour chart for inspiration, you are by no means restricted to these shades but please avoid neon colours. Green is reserved for our bridal party so please avoid unless you have been asked explicitly by us to wear green. No white/cream please! Much of the venue is grass so please bear this in mind when choosing your heels.
Both! Weather permitting, our ceremony and drinks reception will be outdoors, with the meal and evening reception being indoors.
We are not providing organised transport to the venue, but there is ample parking available. Cars must be removed from the car park by 11am the morning after. We would be happy to request recommended taxi company numbers from the venue if you would like us to. Uber does operate on Mersea Island.
How do I RSVP? When is the RSVP deadline?
Please use the following link to RSVP: https://withjoy.com/molly-and-brandon-sep-27/rsvp. We require all RSVPs by 28th February 2027.
Please ensure you are using your full name when attempting to access the RSVP page (this should be how it appears on your invitation) or you will be unable to respond. If you have any issues please contact us!
Children are welcome and will be included on your invitation. As our wedding will be a 'twilight' event, we completely understand if little ones aren't able to attend, please RSVP for your children appropriately. Please be aware that there is open water on the premises and children must be accompanied at all times.
All plus ones will be included on your invitation and RSVP page. If we have not provided a plus one for you, please get in touch with us and we will make as many accommodations as our guest list will allow - we have a restricted guest count enforced by the venue so cannot guarantee additional plus ones.
We do not have a hotel block booked, as most of our guest list is local to Colchester. There are a variety of Airbnb and hotel options on West Mersea, and Colchester is approximately 20 minutes by car with an array of hotels available.
Yes, although some areas are paved with gravel which may be harder for wheelchair users to navigate. The mother and grandmother of the bride both have mobility restrictions so every effort will be made to accommodate guests with mobility difficulties.
Please respond appropriately to the 'dietary requirements or allergies' question when RSVPing. The evening meal is allergen friendly, but please let us know if you have any particular concerns and we will make the venue aware!
The 2 bars on site operate on a pay-as-you-go basis. Cash and card payments are both accepted - the minimum spend on a card is £10 and there is not a cash machine on site.
The Bars will be open from guest arrival until departure at 11:30pm.
We have invested in a fantastic photo and video package to capture our big day so politely request that phones are not in use during the ceremony. Once the evening party is underway you are welcome to take as many photos as you'd like. We will ensure professional photographs are shared via a google drive when they are available.
We politely request that pictures of the couple are not shared until they have had the chance to post themselves.
